{Wood Serving Tray – Turned Chalk board}
I THRIFTED A LARGE $2.00 WOOD SERVING TRAY.
I thought a serving tray would be so cute on my pantry door…
SO I AM “SERVING” YOU ALL UP MY Before and After today.
Before
After
I taped off the wood sides and painted the center with chalkboard paint. I gave it 3 nice coats, and I waited an hour in between each coat. Then I painted the trim with “Jamaican Sea” acrylic paint. I did a glaze over it to shabby it up with “Indian Turquoise. ”
To shabby it up somemore and give it a rustic distressed look, I used distress ink, spreading it on from the ink pad or with a paper towel, and wiping off the extra I didn’t want with a paper towel.
Love all the “Serve/Serving” words you can write….. “SERVE YOURSELF.”
thanks for stopping by.

Quick, easy and so fun! Love this idea! Did you have any trouble erasing your chalk? I’ve had trouble in the past when working with chalkboard paint.

This is such a good idea. 🙂
