  1. I remember getting in trouble ALL THE TIME in elementry school- for drawing hearts on my hands in glue- so I could peel it off and have a heart! Oh- or making fake nails from glue! (making blobs in the bottom of your desk, letting it dry overnight- and you’ve got an awesome set of fake nails in the morning!

  2. A few weeks ago i was helping my nephew with a project. I instinctively put glue on my hands to peel it off. He asked why i did that and then I showed him and he says “You’re weird.” then my mom told him that she thought I was responsible for teachers changing their supply lists from “Elmer’s Glue” to “glue stick” which does not peel and is therefore unsatisfying, lol. Hey–at least I didn’t eat paste 🙂

  3. Ahhh, I still do! My 8 year old saw that I had the glue out this weekend and she offered to help because she wanted to peel glue!

  4. I use to love to make glue skin! I’d pour it all over my hand just to do that. Pouring out big blobs and letting them dry was so fun too!

  5. I loved peeling the glue off my hands! I’d paint it on my whole hand with a brush and peel it off…. all over the floor so my mother had to vacuum! I wouldn’t like for my kids to do that to me now!

  6. Um….I still do that thing with the glue…..lol. I wouled put it all over my hands as a kid and the trick was to actually try to peel it off in one solid layer like a face mask……um, we did the face mask thing once or twice too…..lol

  7. Jen, I’ve followed and liked you for a while now. You’re one of my fave’s!!

We used to make fake nails with glue, too, but instead of putting dots of glue in our desks, we used to put them on our rulers. The rulers used to have an indention that ran down the middle that was the perfect width for the nails!!

Thanks for being such an inspiration to all of us!!

    Hugs ~~ Suz

  9. Heck ya, I am a follower =) I used to love putting a little color marker on my plastic pen holder, drawing little hearts in glue and waiting for them to dry.
Then peel it off… we would exchange our glue thingys. It was how I got through many a boring high school class=)

  10. Dont you just love the dot runner? I used it for EVERYTHING for the birthday party I put together last weekend it was so easy. I need to win this giveway so I can replace all the ones I used 🙂

  11. Followed here, like on FB, and now posted on FB.
I can remember my friends and I actually used to make a game out of putting glue on our fingers. I especially loved the way you could get it to peal off your finger nails in one big peel, just like fake finger nails. Toooo much fun.

  12. I love peeling the glue off the bottle, my hands and my kids hands. When I was little I would purposefully pour glue on my hands so I could peel it off! Weird!

  13. i have to say, i hate my hands feeling sticky. but elmer’s glue is definitly better than the hot glue i seem to get burned by on a daily basis!

  17. peeling glue off my fingers is fun but watching other people get frustrated peeling glue off their hands is way more fun. I would put glue in the palm of my hand and then give high fives or shake hands…heh heh heh…then I would hear “aaww Kat, man!!”

  18. I followed, Liked and shared! And I use to love to leave the glue bottles open so the next day they would be all dryed up then you would take your time peeling the dried glue off trying to get the whole inprint of the bottle!

  21. Follow you on FB and receive emails. Would love to win this package since I couldn’t be in St. George for the real thing. It will be fun to be glued to something besides my monitor.

  22. My mom was and is a perfectionist… so she didn’t want glue anywhere but on the project! I would try my hardest to get it all over my fingers just so I could rub it off. I made some Easter eggs last year with it and I still love the feeling! Thanks for such a fun giveaway!

  23. Love love LOVE pealing glue off of my hands 🙂 During the last week of school (im a 3rd grade teacher) i let my students do this and I join them…shamelessly every year!! 🙂 I may do it for selfish reasons….

  24. I hated getting glue on my wrists, it always pulled hairs as I rubbed it off. My hands were a different story. If you started rubbing it off while it was tacky it became a gooey gray colored blob and it amused me to see other kids squirm when they saw it. I really liked pulling the dried bits from under my nails, I’ve always had long nails. It was like my fingers had just been groomed and I felt great!

  25. i so WISH i could be at your zebra party it looks darling, i LOVED LOVE LOVED rubbing glue all over your hands and when you peeled it off your skin felt so smooth, also i dont know if you ever did this but i just to make paper stamps (like postage stamps) by gettting a cute paper cutting it out putting elmers on the back and letting it dry, once dry you can like it like a stamp and put it on something haha

For Halloween when dressing up as a witch We would apply thin layers of elmers glue on the back of our hands, and then when dry… looks like you have REALLY creepy, crepey witchy-poo-like skin, LOL! It was a ‘cool’ low budget extra special-effect back in the day.
*hey what can I say we were, uhhh… creative* 😉
