MEET SANDY FROM SANDY’S SPACE!
Sandy is here today to share with you a Great tutorial on how to make a “Beads of Love” Valentines!
In the midst of Chinese New Year celebrations, I’m also making Valentine’s Day cards. Being a couple of continents away from America, I wanted to get my cards out nice and early this year. So here’s my first ‘LOVE’ themed project of the month – something in the Clean and Simple style (which my regular readers know is NOT my forte). Let me know how close you think I came to a CAS card.
Tutorial :
- Divide your paper into 3 panels measuring 4″x5.5″ each
- String about 10 beads onto a 12″ long thread
- Coat the thread with white glue (I just used my fingers)
Space out the beads at random intervals and press down
Wait 5 mins for the glue to dry - On Front of Card (middle) panel, bring the needle through the top of the paper : from front to back. Thread the other end and do the same at bottom of the paper
- Repeat for another 4 strands
- Secure the thread ends with tape. Fold the InSide Flap (right) panel over and tape to the back of the Front of Card (middle) panel to hide the thread ends
- Write your sentiment on the Front of Card
Supplies :
Pattern Paper – Anna Griffin
Embellishments – beads, pearl, thread, Prima rub-ons from the Coquette collection
