Watermelon Heart Pops!
Oh’ can you feel it? summer is almost here, and the melons are already at the grocery stores. Watermelon is a favorite of mine and my kids! and even though summer isn’t here yet, we just had a bbq this past weekend. Yum! and you better believe it, watermelon was definitely one of the items served with our bbq. My kids squeal when I drag the watermelon out of the fridge, they all race to the bar stools and eagerly wait for me to serve them some.
I decided to show them just how much we all “heart” watermelon, by making some super simple cut out “Watermelon Heart Pops!” Boy did they “love” their watermelon all the more! “Seriously” kids love anything on a stick, and they were just beyond thrilled.
All you need:
– A metal heart cookie cutter
– Popsicle sticks
– Washi tape (optional)
I first wrapped the Popsicle sticks with some washi tape, then I cut a 1-1/2 inch large slice of watermelon, then with my cookie cutter cut out the watermelon into hearts, and lastly I stuck the Popsicle sticks up through the bottom and they were done. These “Watermelon Heart Pops” are perfect for any bbq you will have this summer. P.S. you can even cut out stars for the 4th f July! Fun!
Enjoy.
Mmm Mmm good, down to the last bite!

These are so adorable. I love watermelon. What fun way to enjoy it. Thanks for sharing this.
My kids love watermelon! What a cute way to serve it up. I might even take it a step further and pop these in the freezer for a bit to get just a little icy, especially on these 90 degree spring days we have been getting!

I saw these on IG… they’re so adorable. My kids would LOVE it and think it so much more special than eating plain ol’ watermelon. Might have to try it this summer!
I’d be thrilled if you’d link up at this week’s Off the Hook!
