Great Kitchen Tips and Ideas

Adding personal touches to your kitchen
Home decor is all about reflecting one’s tastes and interests, which means choosing styles, designs, materials, and accessories that are in tune with your way of thinking and personal lifestyle.  When it comes to the different rooms in the home, the kitchen is perhaps the most fun to personalize.
The idea of redecorating the kitchen may seem daunting for some, but for others it is an enjoyable and exciting challenge. This can be achieved with some major changes, like installing wholesale kitchen cabinets, or something as simple as updating a color scheme.  Here are some ideas on how to get started.
Look at the lines
Even at home, geometry matters.  If the kitchen feels boring, take a look around.  Is everything square-edged?  Are there too many curves?  Why not change things by introducing some contrasting shapes.  For example, with a rounded kitchen counter, opt for some rectangular drawer knobs and hardware, or, place a large bowl filled with round fruit on the square kitchen table.
Play with color
Everyone has a favorite color, so why not include it in the kitchen?  Brightening up the kitchen with a new color scheme is a great way to not only renew the look and feel of the room, but is also a way to make the kitchen one’s own.  It is important to have fun with color without going overboard, so for especially bright colors, pick an accent wall or focus on the backsplash.  Continue with the theme and include accessories and small kitchen appliances that match the color.
Change up the cabinets
Cabinetry plays an integral role in the kitchen.  Not only is it essential storage, but it is also the focal point of the room.  The materials, hardware, and colors used for kitchen cabinets are perfect for creating an overall design and layout that expresses one’s personality.  But remember, cabinetry can be expensive, so consider shopping around for wholesale kitchen cabinets or simply changing out the doors or wood finish.
Remember, there is no rule that says what a kitchen is supposed to look like.  The important thing is that it looks and feels right to its owner!
