Kids Summer Craft ~ Create with Heat Transfer Vinyl!

Vinyl is so much fun, and my goodness now a days you can get so many colors. Not to mention glitter, flocked, metallic’s i.e. gold and silver. There are tons of colors to choose from. You can even get matted or glossy. Just an all around awesome selection! I also love creating with heat transfer vinyl. I was sent a whole bunch of vinyl from Vinyl Outlet (their shop rocks)
and my daughter and I had fun creating her a cute shirt and a cute felt shoulder bag. We did this with some heat transfer vinyl and my Cricut machine. It was an easy project. I let my daughter decide what Cricut design she wanted, then we cut it out, and ironed it on. Super easy!

Creating with heat transfer vinyl is so simple and so fun! You can create a lot of cute things on fabric and clothing. It would make for a Fun Kids Summer Activity. I.E. make matching shirts for say a vacation. You could make purses or shirts for a birthday party. Or how cute to make some monogrammed pool towels.. etc. Tons of fun options.

Step 1– take a plain shirt (we got our felt bag and t-shirt at Joann’s craft) and place it on your ironing board.
Step 2– pull off your excess vinyl that is not needed, allowing just your cut design to show. Next place the sticky side down on top of your shirt and/or item. Then place your iron on top of the image. Move your iron around and iron down your image. It just takes about 10 seconds total.
Step 3– pull off the vinyl tacky sheet and your design is now ironed onto your shirt/item.
We followed the same steps to make her bag. The owl and the necklace design is from the Cricut cartridge- Paisley

You guys will love Vinyl Outlet just as much as I do! and right now if you use promo code VO20 you will get 20% off your purchase. Wa-hoo! I have many more project underway.
Thanks for stopping in.
Hugs, Jen
