Chocolate Cake Mix Brownies

Hello friends, so my Mama came out yesterday and it was  great visiting and having her over, as it always is. There were a lot of emotions flying around yesterday, and lots of tears were shed too… but what’s better then having your mama there to share in her wisdom, love, and compassion? and to bake, share, and enjoy some

Chocolate Cake Mix Brownies?! together?!

Well those two combos, “mom and chocolate” can make any tears, and emotions go away! or at least make you feel a whole lot better.

My mama actually was the one who told me that she made some “Chocolate Cake Mix Brownies” a few days earlier and that they turned out so dang good. She just gave it a go, and who new, they would be a star!
Sooooo, I had to make some and share them with you all.
Most of us have cake mixes sitting in our pantry right?…

Ingredients/How To
2 boxes of chocolate cake mix
cookie sheet pan
stick of butter
nut topping, or walnuts (optional)
semi sweet chocolate chips (optional)
For the Frosting
Hershey’s cocoa and follow the frosting recipe. Its by far the bestest, and creamiest frosting there is. Nothing beats homemade chocolate frosting!
Or chocolate frosting in the tub. (your choice)

Most cake mixes have a “Cake Mix Cookie” recipe on the back of the box, follow that recipe and make up both of your cake mixes, as if you were making the cake cookies. If your cake mixes don’t share a cake mix cookie recipe, all you need is: 2 bags of cake mix, 2 eggs, and two 1/2 cups of oil. Mix well.

Next take a stick of butter and coat your entire cookie sheet really well. You are not using a whole stick of butter for this, just giving the cookie sheet a good coating, sides and all.

Next spread out your cookie cake mix all over the entire cookie sheet. The cookie cake mix should be pretty thick. You will want the cookie cake mix to be about a 1/2 an inch to an 1 inch in thickness all over your cookie sheet. Bake the now “Chocolate Cake Mix Brownies” in your oven at 350 for 22-24 minutes. Chill them in the fridge for about 30 minutes. Make up your Hershey’s Cocoa frosting or open up your tub of frosting and cover the entire sheet of Cake Mix Brownies. Sprinkle some nut toppings (for ice cream sundae’s) or walnuts over the top, as well as your chocolate chips.

Serve and enjoy! You will not believe how much they taste like ooey gooey brownies. My kids and hubby went “nuts” for them, and told me that they were the best brownies they have ever eaten.

Thanks for stopping by today!
Seriously, these Chocolate Cake Mix Brownies will solve any bad, or sad day! not to mention they will totally cure that Chocolate hankering.

XO, jen
