BOYS ROOM Phase 1 – {The Book Nook}

I am sharing a sneak peak of some changes going on in my boy’s room. THE {HUGE} project (that you can see a wee bit of) won’t be finished for a few more weeks, but its going to be so freaking awesome…and if you are thinking loft floating bed… YES’ but there is so much more. I CAN’T WAIT TO SHARE THE BIG REVEAL…. tbc….
So here is the book nook. Now, it will look even more like a book nook when the big project is all finished. So this is just phase #1

 AFTER– I added the vinyl “READ” to the book bin and “The Book Nook” with United States silhouette and the Globe. I used my platinum school book Cricut Cartridge for the lettering and the Going Places cartridge for the Globe and United States.

I made the pillows and it was super easy. The Stars and Circle tags are from Canvas Corp.  then I used liquid stitch to iron them on. Then with some cheap clearance flannel, I cut stuffed and sewed the pillows. Lastly, I embellished the pillows with one wood circle button each that were hot glued on.

the boys ROOM is in an African Safari theme their dad served a mission in South Africa and he brought home so many neat things, that you don’t want stuffed away. Thanks for stopping in…. lots more of the room to come.

  3. First off, those pics are precious! Your kiddos are so sweet. My little guy would die for such a great little book nook- and since we currently have about 1000 books, we could definitely use one!! So cute- great job 🙂

  4. Your boys are lovely and they have a very cosy room! I love the writings on the wall and on the green basket; I must get a Silhouette machine! On the book theme, have you seen those Ikea spice racks transformed into book shelves…I blogged about them a while ago, you can check them out if you would like.

  5. Adorable! Can’t wait to see the big reveal!

  6. My sister did the floating beds (did you see them) they are so fun. I am sure your boys will love them.
