Guest Post- {Darling Edible Flower Pots}

My name is Heather, and my blog is DIY du Jour (diydujour.com).  My semi-new blog consists of recipes, projects, crafts, and tips.

I made these flowerpot cups for Mother’s Day, and they were as tasty as they were pretty! I had thought about doing them in real flowerpots but didn’t like the idea of eating out of terracotta, so I used disposable plastic cups instead.

What you will need:
8 plastic cups
8 pieces of ribbon (about 12″ ea.)
Hot glue gun to secure ribbon to cups
8 artificial flowers
8 gummy worms
For the dessert:
*The recipe below is enough to make eight dessert cups.*
Ingredients:
1 package Oreo cookies, crushed
8 oz. cream cheese
1/4 c. butter (softened)
1 c. powdered sugar
3 c. cold milk
2 small packages instant vanilla pudding mix
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 tub (8 oz.) of Cool Whip, thawed
In a large bowl, cream together cream cheese, butter and powdered sugar.
In a separate bowl mix together milk, pudding, vanilla, and Cool Whip. Add to cream cheese mixture.
Start by tying your ribbons around your cups. Use a small dab of hot glue to keep it from sliding down the cup. You will want to do this first, not after you already have the cups filled with the dessert.

Next, put a layer of crushed Oreo cookies on the bottom.

Then, spoon a layer of pudding mixture into the cups, and repeat with two more layers of Oreos and pudding, ending with Oreos, to make it look like dirt.

Top each cup with a gummy worm.

Lastly, place a flower head on top, and you are finished!

Hope you enjoy these as much as I did!

Love them Heather, so darling and “Sweet” no pun! Thanks for sharing them with us, winks- jen
