Dresser Paint Swatch Choices
This post is sponsored by Ace Hardware. All thoughts and opinions are my own and do not necessarily reflect those of Ace Hardware.
Hi friends. Today, I need your help. I need you all to help me decide on some paint-swatch choices for my daughter’s inherited dresser. I have been dying to get this piece done, so I headed down to my local Ace Hardware to pick out some Valspar paint samples and then swatch them back at home. It’s hard to decide between so many gorgeous blue, mint, and turquoise hues. So to help with our decision-making, we made a mood board with some cute decor and items in pretty shades of blue. You can see the fun mood board below. Nearing the end of our shade selecting, we were able to narrow it down to two different color choices. The two I chose are “Glistening Aqua” (a lighter shade that strikes me as really beachy) and “Turquoise Twist” (definitely more turquoise than blue). I love them both! My daughter is leaning one way, and I prefer the other, but I am not going to tell you which one I love more, because I’m going to save that for when we finally reveal her dresser (as well as the wall I plan to paint).
I had a very helpful and sweet gal help me at Ace Hardware, and it made the decision-making even more fun. You, too, can find your perfect color with sample pints from The Paint Studio at Ace, and you can also get a coupon for $5 off per gallon for every sample you buy (see below for details).
Anyway, I can’t wait to finish painting her dresser and spray-painting the hardware either bright pink or gold. I haven’t decided yet, but it’s going to be colorful, happy and very girly. Neither my daughter nor I can’t wait.
Below are the swatches. What do you all think?

I had this exact dresser as a kid (1977 was a good year) along with the canopy bed and sunshine yellow carpet. My pick is the glistening aqua-it’s softer.
I love the aqua for a base coat i would also use the other here and there
My daughter has the exact same dresser and the matching chest! My eyes are not that great, but to me they are both pretty colors. Either choice would look good as they are very similar. I would probably pick the glistening aqua as well mostly because adding any other really bright colors would seem to be too bright(if that makes any sense lol).
