Do your kids (like mine, being honest here) “get away” with more then 2 hours of screen time a day? my children especially my oldest “13” tries to manipulate his time on the computer playing Mine Craft, most the time it works. Not because I’m a sucker, but because after chores and not having friends in the neighborhood to hang with, he only has and enjoys playing Mine Craft. He is a great kid and gets good grades and even reads at night before bed, so I am more lenient, and don’t particularly complain about his screen time, hashtag guilty! That said, I know its not good on his/or and kids eyes, studies show that even with Pediatricians consenting to 2 hours of screen time a day, that most children/teens are getting  7-8 hours. GAH! My other little boys get wrapped up into YouTuber’s like EvinTube for example or MEG for my daughter, it can seem like their a bunch of sitting zombie just staring, did I say GAH! Unfortunately, we live in a day and age where are kids are primarily interested in these technical devices, and all the fun they bring.  Now, I know there are extra curricular activities i.e. sports, dance, piano lessons etc. for them, but even with that, they want their screen time? before, maybe during, and after, so we as parents need to work on better moderating and control it.

So today I am talking about this great app call “OurPact.” OurPact is an easy to use IOS app to help parents guide  the mobile habits of their children. Its an app that keeps things regulated for your child and their eyes, keep things organized, and safe.

The OurPact app allows the following:

– Schedule Internet and App use according to your child’s daily routine among the week, and weekends.

– Set the number or hours your children spend on the internet and within the apps themselves.

– Block certain Internet apps at-a-touch.

– Allow website and app access if you feel your child needs (has earned wink) more time at-a-touch.

– Block all apps such as; Facebook, Instagram, SnapChat, Twitter, etc.

Now as important as the internet can be in regards, to knowledge, resources, information, and growth, its also very important that as parents we remain cautious of ungoverned online activity. This great app will allow that help.
