DIY Summer Bicycle Wreath

Hi guys- ready for summer yet? I am! I am! just two more weeks for my kids, and we will be ready to have some summer fun. Today I am sharing this whimsical DIY Summer Bicycle Wreath!

My poor front door and porch for that matter, have been neglected for way to long. So I had to make a wreath. I new that I would use my red and white zig zag (chevron) fabric and my fun yellow and grey fabric I was sent from Online Fabric Store.  To get my wreath started.
First off I spotted the cute red metal bicycle you see at JoAnn’s weeks ago. I never thought that when I went to JoAnn’s yesterday that there would be two left “YEAH!” I wanted it so badly, but I didn’t want to pay $20.00 bucks for it. I new when I saw it that I wanted to make a wreath with it, (I had the visual in my head for so long-Ha!) Well SCORE! it was marked down yesterday so I grabbed it.
Day dreaming of summer and my wreath inspiration…
…. {Ahhh the warm summer breeze on my face, riding my bicycle to the ice cream shop, where a long the way I will stop to skip rocks in the nearby creek, and pick some flowers to put in my bicycle basket.} winks!!!

So here is my DIY Summer Bicycle Wreath!

I cut the width of the fabric, 3- 4′ inch strips. I wrapped the fabric around the foam wreath form and hot glued the pieces down.
Next I tied the basket down using jute string, knotting the string in the back of the wreath form.

The little basket I made by taking a cut down piece of “square” shaped foam. I cut and wrapped burlap around the foam, hot gluing it where needed. I then added some flowers that were hot glued down on top of the foam inside. I finished off the basket with some wrapped and tied jute string.
