DIY Spring Grow Sign
Hello friends today I am sharing a lovely DIY Spring Craft- My “DIY Spring Grow Sign.” It was so easy to make and I think it turned out pretty sweet too. Course its pretty awesome when Jo-Ann’s makes spring crafting easy during their “National Craft Month” with a $5 off $25 or more purchase, Woot Woot! Here is a link to the $5 off coupon or check the bottom of the post for printing one out. The Spring Crafting Inspiration Website is where I gathered my inspiration for making “DIY Spring Craft- Spring Grow Sign”
All the supplies I used for this DIY Spring Craft- Grow Sign were all found at Jo-Ann’s
What You Need:
-One large wood fence board
– Sanding paper
– Sponge applicator brush
– Pencil
– The Solstice Stack of craft floral paper
– White satin acrylic paint
– Four 3-d paper mache letters to spell “Grow”
– Scissors
– Walnut Stain Ink It (optional)
– Glue stick or tape runner
– Hot glue gun
How To:
I started by sanding down the fence board pretty well. Then I painted the board with white acrylic paint and then set it aside to dry. I then traced all of my paper mache letters to the back side of the craft paper. I then thoroughly covered my paper mache letters with a large glue stick. I laid the paper letters over the top and rubbed them down pressing and holding them, until they were adhered nice and well. I then moved back to the fence board and took my walnut stain “Ink It” and went around the edges of the board, giving it a bit of a stain look. I used a paper towel to wipe off any access ink stain I didn’t want. Lastly I hot glued down my paper mache letters. So Easy! Optional– is to take some ribbon of your choice and use “2” flat thumb tacks and tack both ends of the ribbon to the back of the fence board creating a large loop for hanging.
I had a lot of fun with this DIY Spring Craft and making the “Spring Grow Sign” to fit in with a spring like nursery vibe. I simply pulled items I had from my cupboards and home to create this look. If you make a Spring Grow Sign, I would love to see it, let me know. Thank you so much for stopping by COM today! and if it’s your spring break like mine, enjoy! jen
This is so cute! I would love to try this and hang it with some ribbon that I have.
