Festive Christmas Cake and Cupcakes
Hello everyone,
Today on COM I am sharing how I decorated some sweet fluffy white cupcakes and cake with the help from SweetWorks. SweetWorks have all kinds of darling and festive cake and cupcake candies and sweets to help you with any of your cupcake/cake decorating needs. My favorite of the stuff I was sent, has to be the colorful Sixlets. I love Sixlets, so I used more of those along with some milk chocolate Santa’s, and small candy pearls.
To make the cupcakes and cake, I just bought “2” white cake mixes and made them up. Once all the cupcake cups were filled, I dropped 1-2 drops of food coloring on the tops of the batter, then I took a paper straw (a toothpick would work too) and swirled the food coloring around a few times. I just wanted it to be more fun and festive for my kids (you can do the same thing with raspberry or cherry filling as well.) Once all the cakes were cooled I got to frosting them with vanilla (white) frosting. Then the fun part, decorating the cupcakes and the cake. Love it!
Here are some fun pictures of the yummy cake and cupcakes. My kids sure were surprised when they got home from school, and it just makes the holidays that much “sweeter” no pun.
