Studded Initial Plaques
Here are my Studded Initial Plaques~ You could make these by just picking up some inexpensive wood at the hardware store or recycling some old wood you may have.
I bought these humming bird plaques forever ago, and wasn’t super thrilled with them, but thought they would look nice in my shabby room. Plus they were a cheap purchase. I tried a DIY…. disaster… HA! by painting them aqua and then sanding it off, HATED IT! SO I DID SOMETHING ELSE…..
I started by painting the plaques two coats of white paint.
Then I cut out burlap and hot glued it on in all four corners.
then I had a box full of silver tacks. I love these because they look like studs. I used two tools, one to grip the tack and needle nose pliers to bend the nail on the tack. I tried hammering them in, but they bent, which I had a feeling they wood.
with the silver tacks that I hot glued on.
then with my cricut cut out J & K from card stock and stenciled the letters on the burlap. all DONE!
