HERE ARE MY Picture Knob Plaques!

THIS IS my son’s changing table with drawers. The middle drawer kept breaking off… so instead of fixing it. I un-screwed them all. Removed the clothing and other wood parts and made a little cubby hide out spot for the kids. WHAT DID I DO WITH THE DRAWER FRONTS?……… my hubs shakes his head, laughs at me, and says I am cute.. and creative! he!!!

BEFORE~

AFTER~ AND THIS IS what I TURNED THEM INTO!

YOU COULD EASILY pick up some wood at the hardware store and knobs and make these yourself.
STEPS:
prime wood~ two coats
paint wood~ three coats white paint
paint knobs~ acrylic paint
glaze knobs, wipe off with paper towels
finish knobs with clear acrylic sealer “gloss”
do a outer glaze paint to plaques, wipe off glaze with
paper towels.
use a stencil and brissel brush to stencil
“No.” and numbers
whole punch card stock paper
 glue pics. on
add twine, tie knots hang pics.
close up of the painted, glazed, and acrylic clear sprayed knobs.

angle shot!

I DUG UP some pics. that will work for now, but they aren’t my fav. I want the size to all be the same. You can hang pics. widthwise too. I am getting 5×7 pics. made up in BW and they will be hung widthwise.

……..

My No. 1-3 kids, oldest to youngest. The plaques sit on my really long shelf above my window, leaning against the wall.

I HEART THEM…. YES’ the kids and the boards! 😉

I am linking up with Tatertots and Jello for your Favorite Project in 2010 HERE.
THANKS FOR STOPPING IN!

I think thats a great idea…however i would have to tweak it since I have 5 children. lol Maybe I can you the drawer front of a longer draw with 2 knobs. But that would make 6….ahhhhhh I think we’re completed our clan. Having that extra knob might leave room for fate. lol Thanks as always for your wonderful crafts.
