Getting Organized- {Bella’s Closet}

WITH THE NEW YEAR…. come’s LOTS OF PURGING, DE-CLUTTERING, RE-ARRANGING, SORTING, RE-VAMPING, AND “ORGANIZING” .. and there is no better feeling then to get all of that done.

After the hubs kicked butt on our back yard blowing and racking up all the leaves, mowing, and trimming all the bushes and cutting the branches off our large tree…. then it was taking down all the Christmas, dusting, cleaning, and putting things back in order. Then I was off to get Bella’s closet cleaned out and organized.

SO HERE WE GO….

 BEFORE
We (hubs was a dear and helped) we went through all her clothes and bagged the ones that didn’t fit anymore. Then folded piles just for shirts, skirts and shorts, pants, and pjs. We also gutted her foul toy box and bagged up stuff we weren’t going to donate, but rather toss all together.

{{WARNING}}– I may loose a husband over this…. when hubs saw me “duct taping” YES’ you read the correctly, duct taping her one broken severely cracked drawer….. hubs said “You are not going to blog this are you?” HA! YES I AM! his reply- “WHITE TRASH.” Me- LAUGHING HARD. I refuse to spend $18.99 on a new 3 drawer storage bin same size, when I could duct tape it with fun duct tape colors. HECK- If washi tape can be decorative in crafts and decor… WELL HECK- I am upping the bar on duct tape. THAT’S ALL. US + 4 kids= expensive- NUFF SAID.

NO- this is NOT from Pottery Barn Kids..
meet the DUCT TAPE CLOTHING BIN
nicely neatly folded clothes…… will see how long it last.

Storage bin for rolled tights, and socks. Do I spy more duct tape?
all her barbie dolls and other dolls are in this hanging castle organizer. I found it at Target over a year and a half ago.
I put some of her FAVORITE toys on display.

Picture Reads- Princess, daughter of a Heavenly King.
and now its all clean and put together, duct tape and all.

  1. Awesome! I am working on writing my posts as I organize small spaces in our house…first up is the pantry next week, then I’m moving to the linen and coat closets. Don’t organized closets just make you smile? Nicely done!

  2. Love it! Just used Hello Kitty duct tape in my girls room to fix a broken bin and then again on another bin to make it look like it was just there for decoration!

  3. Okay… Now you need to BRING your Pretty Duct Tape over here and get me organized… LOL!!! It’s funny how much I LOVE it when I get organized.. But I some how seem to FORGET that LOVE awfully quick… While in the process of making another Crafting Mess… 🙂

  4. Two things
    1. I heart your husband for calling you out… and you making it SSOOOOOO cute 😉
    2. We have huge chunky dressers that take up to much room in a house already overflowing (not unlike that toy box) with people… totally getting plastic bin dressers!!

  5. Love the duct tape…the stuff works wonders! I agree with the 4 kids=expensive! We just had our 4th in April & are surprised every month how much it all adds up! Her closet looks great! Happy New Year!

  6. I love this and it looks just like my daughter’s closet! I also admire the fact that you didn’t have to buy anything to organize the closet. That’s the best kind of creativity!

  7. Looks great. The duct tape was a great idea. Oh do I remember the littles pet shop and polly pockets. I was so glad when we grew out of them here, and so does my vacuume:)
    Happy new Year
    Love your blog
Thanks for sharing tons of great ideas.
