DIY Ombre Lamp Shade Re-Vamp

Hey friends today I am sharing a
“DIY Ombre Lamp Shade Re-Vamp”
I picked up a lamp at D.I. (thrift store) for $7.00 bucks a month ago, but was never fond of the lamp shade design… so I gave it a
re-vamp.

For those of you who follow me on Instagram (love my IG girls) you offered up some of your ideas on the lamp shade re-vamp. I loved them all, but wanted to use stuff I already had. So I looked at my craft stuff and saw all my Tattered Angels, I got so excited because I new that I would turn the lamp shade into a ombre look. It was super easy to do. I first painted the entire shade with white acrylic paint. Then I took the shade out to the garage and started spritzing the CRAP out of it HA! doing each of the three colors I used. I kept doing this until I got the color I liked. You can still see the design a little bit through the tattered angels spray, but Oh’ well, I still like how it turned out.

So here are the pictures, and a couple before’s too.
 Here is the Before!
 Here is the After!
Here is the lamp shade in its re-vamping phase… it was so fun, playing with that spray.
I have seen Tattered Angels at  Hobby Lobby, they may be at
Jo-Ann’s or Michaels, but I am not sure. My burlap flower on the lamp shade as well as the T.A. spray is from Canvas Corp.

Here is another Before!
and After!
FYI- baskets, bins, crates, hat boxes, plants, etc. are great for hiding plugs and chords too.
well that is it, hope you like it.
Thanks for stopping in.
