Creamy Chicken and Broccoli Bake

Today I am sharing another FAMILY FAVORITE recipe in our home. I am one lucky mama, because my MIL included this recipe in the recipe book she made for me, when Kevin and I got married. Thanks Innie, the recipe book is used often and loved just as much. 


This is a go to recipe if I have fresh broccoli on hand, and I don’t want to make Beef and Broccoli, I make this recipe instead…. 

“CREAMY CHICKEN AND BROCCOLI BAKE”

I AM TELLING YOU THE SMALL DASH OF CAYENNE PEPPER YOU DUST ON THE TOP before baking… MAKES IT! 
Ingredients & Directions
5-6 boneless skinless chicken breasts-cooked and cut up.
(i season my chicken with a little salt and pepper.)
1 1/2 heads of broccoli, rinsed, cooked, and chopped.
(i place my broccoli in a bowl with a tbsp. of water, and i cover it with press and seal wrap and cook it in the microwave for 3 mins. 25 sec.)

Drain your broccoli and place it in a sprayed 9×13 baking dish, place your cooked chicken on top.
THE WHITE SAUCE
4 tbsp of butter
4 Tbsp. of flour
1/2 tsp. pepper
slat and pepper 
just a few shakes!
2. cups of milk
3/4 to 1 c. of dry Parmesan cheese
MIX all of this in a pot until thickens. Pour over your broccoli and chicken! 
remember just a lite dust of cayenne pepper over the top, trust me this makes the dish!
BAKE 325 for 20 minutes!

NOTICE the baking dish IS TOTALLY WIPED OUT! YEP’ its that good!

DINNER TIME AROUND THE TABLE WITH THE FAMILY IS SUCH A SPECIAL TIME IN OUR FAMILY. My fam. and I, all agree that it’s one of our favorite parts of our day, gathering around the table to eat, chat, and laugh. 

This recipe will have all your family running to the table, I promise you all will love it! No’ kid can turn down broccoli covered in creamy parm. white sauce- YUM!

  1. Looks Delicious! Recipe calls for parmesan cheese, but your discription is a creamy cheddary white sauce. Does that mean you use cheddar instead of parmesan?
