Valentines Magnetic Tic Tac Toe GAME~ from a cake pan!

WHAT DO YOU DO ON A RAINY COLD DAY??? well you can’t bake because of your strict diet, and you don’t want to go out in the rain… so you CRAFT! I was desperate to make something. I opened up my pan drawer and pulled out a cheap round baking pan…….

HOW TO: I used the pan and traced a circle to the back of the scrap paper I liked, to place on the bottom of the pan. Then I used red glittery tissue paper decoupaged to the inside rim of the pan. I also decoupaged the scrappaper to the bottom of the pan. NOTE: use your mod podge on both the bottom of the pan, back of paper and over paper. For the tissue paper just smear it on the pan and then gently over the tissue paper. I then used some pink acrylic paint I had and a round sponge, and sponge dotted the top rim with it. I let everything dry while I worked on the game pieces.

for the game pieces, I cut out hearts from my cricut. Then with rub ons I got at Target (at the end of Jan.) in the dollar section I rubbed hearts and xox over the X’s. I used just a marker for the X’s. Then hot glued the magnets to the back of the pieces.

After all the decoupage was done drying, I drew out a tic tac toe board. Its rather difficult with the sides in the way. So as you can see the board is small. I don’t think the kids will mind. 😉

Here is an angle shot so you can see the 3D look it gives you from the magnets!

Propped up for better viewing!

closer shot for ya!
